The modules
What the course covers
Every module follows the same pattern as Front Office Essentials: a short narrated lesson, a reading, practice (calls, role-plays or a simulation), then a quick check. It's all set at Maple Grove Dental, the practice you already know if you took Essentials.
This is the course's approved outline. It's being built now, so module names and order may change a little before it opens.
- 01
The job
Why the hygiene schedule is the practice's foundation, and how hygiene exams feed the doctor's schedule.
- 02
The hygiene column to goal
Goals by day, visit types and lengths, where new patients and periodontal treatment go, and scheduled against goal.
- 03
Recall systems
Six-month and three-month intervals, pre-appointing at check-out and working the recall report.
- 04
Periodontal patients
Getting treatment scheduled after the diagnosis, three-month maintenance, and the patient who wants "just a cleaning."
- 05
Confirmations, no-shows and short notice
A confirmation routine, the hygiene short-call list, and a policy held kindly and firmly.
- 06
Reactivation at scale
Overdue lists, a text and email routine within texting rules, lapsed families and year-end benefits.
- 07
New patients into hygiene
How soon a new patient can be seen, and holding new patient time.
- 08
The numbers and the huddle
Hygiene production against goal, reappointment rate, overdue recall and no-shows.
- 09
Capstone
Run a week of hygiene schedules while cancellations come in.
What you'll practice
Do the job before it counts
You talk with AI patients and colleagues who answer back, and you run simulations of the real work. Every call is scored, and you can redo anything as often as you like.
Practice calls and role-plays
- 1Pre-appoint a reluctant patient at check-out (in person)
- 2A perio maintenance patient cancels with "I'll call back"
- 3A second no-show and the fee policy
- 4Fill a 7:30 AM hygiene opening
- 5A lapsed family of four
- 6A patient who needs periodontal treatment but wants just a cleaning
- 7A new patient who wants to be seen this week
- 8Confirm a patient who sounds unsure
Simulations
- Hygiene week builder, with daily goals
- Recall report triage
- Confirmation board
- Perio interval sorter
Skill sign-offs
- Pre-appoints at check-out
- Fills a same-day hygiene opening
- Reports the hygiene numbers at the huddle
Skills you show on the job. When your office trains with Accelerated Dental Training, your manager signs them off.
